Fit to complete IADRS Fitness test with a score of 16/20

The IADRS fitness evaluation is specifically designed to see whether or not you are physically fit to be able to handle high physical stress.

Minimum age

21+ years

The minimum age required to be an instructor for Public Safety diving is higher than the typical instructor trainings require.

Duration

3 Days

The training consists of 3 days of both theory, practical presentations and demanding in water sessions.

Are Dry suit and Full face mask required?

While these are not officially requirements, we believe they should be. For operations and personal protection it is a necessity. For that reason we do our training also in Dry suit and Full Face mask.

How difficult is the IARDS fitness test and where can I see the requirements?

Cormorant Garamond is a classic font with a modern twist. It's easy to read on screens of every shape and size, and perfect for long blocks of text.

For Public Safety Diver the minimum requirement is 12/20, for instructors the minimum score is 16/20. Unlike the Scuba dive fitness test this test is designed to see how fit you are to handle stressful situations for your own protection. Please make sure to prepare for this in advance. While we will provide all the base equipment needed, please bring at least your own dive computer and mask. You are welcome to bring any other equipment as you see fit.
